Registrations Now Open For Arts Activated 2019 Conference 

20% Early Bird Discount Until June 14 

   

Taking place at the beautiful Waterview centre at Sydney Olympic Park over August 22 and 23, Arts Activated is Australia’s leading forum for making arts, culture and events more accessible for people with disability or who are Deaf. 


Over 250 artists, arts workers, disability advocates, researchers policymakers and industry experts will come together to share and explore ideas and approaches for fast tracking accessibility for artists and audiences with disability.


The program includes over 22 sessions and events and will feature several high profile Australian and international guests.


Registrations are available for artists, not-for-profits and other organisations, there’s a special Early Bird discount of 20% for delegates who purchase registrations by June 14, and extra discounts are available for organisations purchasing multiple registrations.

Arts Activated 2019 Program Outline Released

With over 22 sessions, presentations, workshops and networking events, Arts Activated 2019 is set to inform, entertain and connect a diverse range delegates from across NSW and Australia. 


Two international guests will headline the conference and share their insights on innovative ways to make change happen. They'll be joined by some Australia's leading figures from the arts, culture and disability sectors who'll work with delegates to develop strategies, improve practice and create opportunities. 


Topics that will be discussed include: reshaping the disability arts narrative; developing Inclusive performances, programs and venues; advancing authentic casting; the future of accessible tech/design; unpacking Disability Inclusion Action Plans; the intersection of identities; and boosting training and career development for artists and arts workers with disability.

Overlooking vast parklands, ponds and lakes, Waterview is perfectly placed in a serene setting located within Parramatta's Bicentennial Park. 

The venue is all on ground level with a ramp at the main entrance. All conference areas have double entry doors, there are plenty of accessible toilets, and there are lots of disabled parking spaces.

We'll also be providing a relaxed space for delegates who want some quiet time.
